Heyloo my empty audience! Don’t know if anyone noticed I was gone but I am backkkk. I’ve been kind of waiting for a drama that interests me to watch. And it has finally come! In the form of the amazing Yoo Seung Ho ^-^ Ahmygad I went crazy when I found him in a drama finally after being discharged. I know he’s doing ‘Imaginary Cat’ at the same time but ‘Remember’ seemed more interesting to me. Yes Yes Yes Yoo Seung Ho did not disappoint me at all! Soon as he came on screen I fangirled HARD. Literally my cousin was asleep next to me and I was just wriggling around slapping him with my hardcore fangirling.
My first impressions of the drama was that it was depressing. A depressing tale of a boy trying to seek justice for his innocent father, against the powers of the rich and fabulous. I’m craving more already.
Jin Woo (Seung Ho) is at present a defence lawyer for none other than his father, who suffers from memory loss. However his father has no recollection of him being his son and keeps asking to not reopen his case for appeal. This episode is pretty much a massive flashback to what had happened 4 years ago.
From a not so wealthy background, yet always fulfilling each other with happiness and affection, is the sort of relationship these two have. It was actually quite sweet how innocent and pure they were. Just living casually day by day.
We also find that a significant trait, which is what the whole drama is probably gonna focus on, is his ability to remember everything and anything. Strange… it sort of reminds me of ‘I Remember You’. We see this come into play when both our main protagonists meet. In Ah (Park Min Young) is a law student whom is a little sparky. Is that even a word? They encounter each other when she thinks he stole her purse and takes the piss by taking the bus to the station only to have her conclusion proven wrong. I would have screwed her for the too, how you gonna waste my time like that? Her irrational behaviour gets slated by Jin Woo. He was savage. Questioning why she is even a law student. :’)
It is the introduction of the next character that peaked my interst. The son of a wealthy family, who is just a little bitch. Gyu Man played by Namgung Min. If I ever met someone like him in my life I would just knock him into a pool of sharks. To be honest this guy sounds like he would probably survive. He is so up himself and everything has to go his way or you will die. Quite literally. As we saw happen to Jin Woo’s neighbourhood noona. (Oh Jung Ah played by Han Bo Bae).
Sweet Buddha his interest in Jung Ah was blatant during this one scene which reeked of sex drugs and money. You could see his aim was to get her in bed. Since the way they portrayed his reaction to her was perry and creepy. As if he craved her innocence. I’m starting to sound a little weird lool. But the son of a bitch killed her! At least I assume he did? Of course we aren’t told particulars about how it played out but all we see is her dead and being found by Jin Woo’s father. He just happened to get lost due to his memory loss and was just at the wrong place and the wrong time.
The problem grows as the wealthy instruct their lawyers to place blame on someone else. The victim here being Seo Jae Hyuk. Like I said it was just lucky coincidences he is beginning to lose his memory making him an easy target. It seems like Jin Woo however had no idea about his father’s condition. Which makes the episode even more depressing, especially when his father can’t remember who he is. Jin Woo just looks hopeless in front of the powerful. I mean the guy even gets food thrown at him and he just stands there. I saw the drop of a necklace which our female protagonist picks up on. Could this make a future reappearance? I sense it would be something that would bring them closer. Ahhh I got you Kdrama!
One character that confused me was this smart ass lawyer, Dong Ho (Park Sung Woong). He seems like the smart playboy who also is one persuasive MF. I can’t seem to decipher if he is supposed to be a good guy or bad guy. Mainly because he manages to persuade a top notch lawyer to back down from that rich shit’s case aimed at one of his clients. However the lawyer warns him about the boy’s attitude which he seemed nonchalant about. It looked like he may be of some good use to Jin Woo but I’m not quite sure… At leas he agree’s that Gyu Man is a CRAZY psycho with MASSIVE ego issues. I feel like I can hear a dialect accent thingy going on but I wasn’t too sure.
