I think I know see why there are some salty individuals when it comes to #gun and Monsta X in general. Don’t get me wrong this show didn’t make me hate Monsta X forever or anything. But I think I can understand the perspective of others when they mention how they were formed. Like my previous post this one’s going to be pretty short.
So first I.M, Hyungwon and Jooheon. Their stage was epic, as in the set. It really suited their song interstellar. Hyungwon’s part was a little disappointing. To be honest it was probably due to the song not really suiting his vocals. But on a whole it was ok. Was I the only one cracking up at the girls who were in the background? Like all they did was stand there and just put their hands up.
Next up we had the full on vocal team- Kihyun, Seokwon and Wonho. This one was by far my favourite of the lot. I don’t know if it’s because it was generally that little more appealing to women in general, plus it was a Crush song. The sexy dancing, and the dancers who were amazing. Ahmygad it was AMAZING! It was all on point and so smooth. Seokwon has SERIOUSLY improved his vocals much more. I loved it! In one word- it was a #CrotchExplosion. Aww baby Seokwon when he was nervous with the women and a Wonho on a ego trip. -_-
Our Age flip group was the funniest. Age flip because they ended up changing the rankings by playing rock, paper scissors. I was excited when they said they were going to perform Joah by Jay Park. I love Jay Park- end of. Love, love, loveeeeeeed it! They were my second favourite performance, however they got criticisms. I personally liked that I can finally hear MinHyuks beautiful voice once again. It was annoying because I head it once and I never heard it again so I was glad. That dance break tho. I gotta do my slow clap for Jooyoung for producing it that way because that was sick. That’s why I didn’t understand why they commented that it ended too abruptly. I loved it and Mad Clown you just… lemme not get started.
The ending performance was the best of all three. You could see it’s because none of them cared and were focused on just doing well together. Shownu and his dancing was what caught my attention first. Go Shownu, Go Shownu! of course I know since we now already have Monsta X. But I have to admit I was shocked too. Don’t know if there was some random Starship underground dealings or if the audience were just basing their votes on other things. However I see why some people were upset by the lineup. I probably would have made it – #GUN, Jooheon, I.M, Shownu, Shownu and either Seokwon or Wonho. I guess having #Gun and Jooheon in one group may make things a little more intense since they’re similar. Like I said I still don’t hate the Monsta X we now have but I can’t help but feel a little weird about why they were chosen of the lot. To me Hyungwon was the weakest but maybe for a boy idol group they all balance out well? Admittedly Kpop groups don’t just sing, they have their other avenues that are as significant as the talent. (Bar some maybe). So putting these lot together you have your visual, moodmaker, rapper, vocalist and maknae? See what I mean?
