Before this episode came out me and my friend were discussing how Ep 16 would play out. I mean I had the impression, like I said previously, that it would be a ‘year later’ ep. My mate however has watched most of Jo Sung Hee’s dramas and told me how she’s known for surprising endings. So she said she may shock us by doing something unexpected.
Ep 16 was far from that however. I was first surprised how quickly Seong Joon came into the picture. Soon as his phone was a no answer it was obvious that he was gonna come and surprise her. #TypicalKdramaScene Oh and her frizzy curls are back! Albeit more tamed than before.
Anyway we see them begin to slide in comfortably as newly weds. Visiting her house, family and stealing kisses as usual. I kind of was hoping to see the Most Team’s reaction to the wedding invitation with Hye Jin there. I just wanted to see what they would have said to her. Especially Joon Woo. He would be such a cute brother. Oh yeah Ra Ra is getting married!!! Therefore Seong Joon claims her position whilst Director Cha gets his. I was so happy for Director Cha weirdly enough even though she wasn’t a main character enough to develop a connection with. I feel like she truly deserves it because she’s so hardworking and loyal. Unfortunately for her Seong Joon’s habit of unawareness hasn’t left him as he keeps going into his old office thinking it’s still his.
Awwhhh Joon Woo and Han Seol still going strong. This couple I swear are just 😁
Furthermore needy Seong Joon is so cuttteee. But that stupid fringe! Whyyyy? #GimmeSomeForeahead Although he does look more laid back with it. Plus where are you pulling her chair to Seong Joon? #BangBangBang #SomeoneStopMyDirtyMind Maybe that was the night that brought about their child? #OkIReallyNeedToStop
Ha Ri on the other hand is still studying diligently. She ends up getting a job at a hotel and to celebrate that, as well as Hye Jin’s engagement, she sets up a picnic. Their friendship is just perfect. No hard feelings despite everything that has happened. Seems like Ha Ri also has a new man, or possible man shall I say. Noooonnnaaaaaa #IFeelYourPainHaRi
I mean I was slyly hoping Ha Ri and Shin Hyuk would start a good friendship. I quite liked their combo a lot. Was slightly disappointed that I didn’t see much of Shin Hyuk in this episode. Honestly when she was cycling from the end of last week’s episode to someone I thought it may have been him. But like he makes no surprise visit… well he does but not much is shown apart from him standing at the crossroad near the Most office. I wanted more of an appearance from him. I originally started thinking of him and Hye Jin being friends rather than a relationship. However my perspective altered as the episodes progressed. In that I was shipping them hard. I know not everyone agrees and I honestly don’t mind Seong Joon and Hye Jin. Nevertheless I feel like their relationship was so deep rooted in them being exactly their past selves. Whilst Shin Hyuk fell for the present reality. I don’t know if anyone gets where I’m coming from but just a random opinion. Oh yeah we find out what he whispered to her that night… it was such a typical Shin Hyuk thing to say.
Overall my experience with the drama was sort of up and down. I really enjoyed it when it first began. All the rollercoaster rides as well as the comedy. But as the episodes went on it just felt way too dragged out and I slowly started to get a little bored. I ended up watching it for the sake of watching it if you know what I mean. I seem to have caught second-man syndrome for this drama too since I began to ship Shin Hyuk and Hye Jin. (Already explained my reason why above). My most favourite part of this drama has to be the friendship between Ha Ri and Hye Jin. It’s so rare to see a friendship like that, especially among women. Not even just women actually, even family! I just loved how understanding to each other and trusted each other enough to be forgiving quickly when one oversteps a boundary. But I wouldn’t say this drama has knocked off Oh My Ghost as my top drama for the year. Unfortunately it didn’t quite reach it for me.
