Where do I even start. This episode was heartbreaking for me. Mainly because of the side characters. The aftermath of Ep 10 was not pretty. Turns out Seong Joon found out about Ha Ri because he saw an employee of the month sign. Ha Ri pretty much stuttered out the truth but it was so blatantly obvious that he didn’t care about anything apart from whether Hye Jin was Hye Jin. He was so RAW! Soon as she confirms it for him he completely blanks her and walks off. I felt distraught for the poor girl. Love is blind- it never seems to register those who get hurt. But I guess you can’t blame him at the same time.
A similar scene plays out between Hye Jin and Shin Hyuk. He literally begs her with pleading eyes to take notice of him too. But he gets interrupted with a confession call from Seong Joon. She doesn’t even think twice and leaves him there hanging. Ah my Buddha I wanted hold a ‘free hugs’ sign for them. This was too much emotion just for the beginning. Throughout this whole episode both Shin Hyuk and Ha Ri were identical twins.
Let me begin with Hye Jin and Seong Joon to get the happy couple out of the way. Soon as they see each other they are smiles and giggles. She tells him why she avoided him etc. What changes however is when Hye Jin begins to place a distance between him the next day. It was obvious that something was up and demon Joon decided to peep his head a little bit. I don’t know why I found it funny that he could not keep away from her and literally clung to her constantly. He changes into this whole new person.
Nevertheless the reason behind Hye Jin’s distance was blatant. Ha Ri. After hearing from him that he didn’t know the whole story (because someone point blanked her) Hye Jin of course runs to see if Ha Ri is ok. She puts up a front that she is and deflects every query. But she actually ends up bawling her eyes out in solitude. Ha Ri’s torn up letter to Seong Joon reveals her true feelings. Like I said previously; he was just there at the right time. Her letter was so heartbreaking I couldn’t help but get a little teary eyed. I understand this girl way too well.
After much persuasion, as well as a trip to Hye Jin’s family home, he gets the truth out of her. He doesn’t seem to be fazed by Ha Ri but of course why would he be since he only has eyes for Hye Jin. Thankfully he decides to give her time to sort things out as long as she doesn’t run away from him. His words are very true despite the fact that they probably hurt. He liked Hye Jin in the past as well as the present. Even from being strangers. Surprisingly flirty Joon is fun. I love seeing this side of him. 😉 (I absolutely loved him in Witch’s Romance)
Back to Ha Ri, she pretty much keeps pretending to be just fine. Hye Jin is clearly worried for her and they get into a fight. It was not pretty. Especially when she suggests they end their friendship. NO HA RI! I feel like Ha Ri is struggling to let go of it all to Hye Jin because of the guilt and the fact that Hye jin doesn’t seem to be angry by her actions. That probably adds to her guilt to be honest. My eyes are definitely watering.
Shin Hyuk like Ha Ri looks lifeless in the aftermath. He ends up being pretty nonchalant about everything. His author friend even notices how he’s no fun anymore. BUT THAT JASON DERULO WIGGLE WIGGLE REFERENCE. #MadeMyNight
Anyway both of them pretty much end up following similar routes. This part made me really sad. Shin Hyuk ends up admitting he’s going to leave the Most Team. He becomes completely absent mentally and psychically. Although I’ve said before sometimes his joking nature is a little exaggerated I prefer it over his depressed state. Seong Joon tries to bring him back by explaining the situation with the magazines instability however it doesn’t seem to have persuaded Shin Hyuk to stay. I feel like Shin Hyuk and Ha Ri are cutting ties in order to move on.
Ha Ri ends up disappearing. Her mother makes a surprise visit asking her to come back with her so they can finally live together. Interestingly her mothers past with her dad was exactly same situation as Ha Ri and Seong Joon’s situation. That just made the episode even worse and my eyes even more redder. Seems the fight with Hye Jin may have tipped her over to say yes because Hye Jin comes to an empty home. It was heartbreaking to see Hye Jin’s reaction. She frantically goes to the airport to find her and it honestly looked like she lost a part of her. She ends up breaking down in the middle of the airport. I couldn’t handle it bruh! Hye Jin looked like a lost child without her. WHY IS EVERYONE LEAVING!
