Ok I was going to try and put this series into a two-episode recap like I have done recently but, it being a detective story, and me being slow, meant that was going to be impossible. So I’ve stuck to episode by episode.
I guess I now finally understand why Hyun looked shattered from the last episode. He now has a sly feeling his brother is involved in whatever this mess is supposed to be. And he may be right as Sun Ho, ends up confronting the middleman and gives him a death stare for opening the boxes. His stare was so intense it even frightened me. A flashback also shows us that it was Sun Ho who knocked out Hyun when he was digging for info from the Prosecutor.
From the way his conversation went with the Planning Director, she must convinced him that Min was dead because of how dangerous his brother could be. Not because he was actually dead which is what he thought. Hmm at least that was my interpretation of it.
Feels like the Ji An – Hyun bond is getting stronger by the episode. I think they just find comfort in each other, as they both were involved in the same case and have lived life in a similar way because of it. She can clearly see that he’s looking for his brother as she offers comforting words. She compares it to her certainty that if she believes in it firmly enough her dad will still be alive. He on the other hand doesn’t know whether his brother being alive is a good thing or not. Later on though we see Ji An does catch onto that thought as she begins her stalking antics and comes across Min’s signature. She remembers it from the first episode’s painting. She connects the dots (and thank Buddha she does because even I was confused) that Min is the reason why he’s not sure whether finding him is a good idea.
Sorry to break the news bruh but you may find him sooner than you think. Considering we now know who it is, and the fact that he realises he must be in his close vicinity. Well let’s just say it’s only a matter of time now. He literally comes face to face with Sun Ho when he does a quick sweep search of the office and he looks like he may have increased his suspicion of him when he extends a dinner invite.
Joon Ho… I really need them to explain to me why he’s always giving off this creepy vibe and why that eerie music is always played when he comes up. On top of that they always place him in a moment where it looks like he’s going to do some crazy psycho sh*t. When him and Hyun go for a jog, he begins to talk about how he can smell corpses. What? Why?
Awhh Myeong Woo goes on a blind date but sadly he gets rejected because she came to him mainly for protection against a possible stalker. This girl is actually the victim of the current case they are about to embark on. Bless him he was so peppy and on it but he gets shot down. It probably didn’t help that they put his desk is now opposite his enemy’s- Hyun. Awkward…
We find out the blind date is the next victim after they find a corpse that correlates similarly in terms of its details to a couple of others. Hyun’s excited face upon hearing it’s a serial killing case was just plain freaky. I’ve never seen him so happy.
I’ve also wondered whether Team Leader Kang has some sort of feelings towards Ji An because he always seems to look a little jealous when Ji An is with Hyun. Or maybe pissed off is a better phrase.
Ji An gets parred so badly when she decides to interrogate their first suspect. She puts herself forward mainly because the guy has a disease where he believes that from mere eye contact a woman is in love with him and becomes delusional about them. But he flat out says she’s not his type. LOL But he changes his mind pretty quickly when she begins to get close and touchy feely with him.
HYUN YOU CUTIEEEEE!!! The Ji An and Hyun fizzy vibes are strengthening by the episode- no joke. You can tell during the interrogation she feels uncomfortable and begins to drench Dettol on her hands in the bathroom. Him noticing that attempts to make it better by holding her hands. Please stop… my feels. He also earlier on tells her to stay at his until they catch the guy who attacked her. Argh smushy smushy! Ji An herself can’t deny it because when Team Leader Kang says he will find him ASAP she tells him not to rush. What do you mean Ji An? #ExcuseTheBieberReference
After narrowing down the profile they go to investigate the 1st victim’s husband. I do believe it’s him since he looks like the woman we see with the girl earlier on but I wasn’t too sure. I’m not sure actually… peak times if she actually is a woman. No offence! The ending baffled me as well because Ji An and Team Leader Kang actually find the van. However they get ambushed with Kang being knifed and Ji An being taken by these two strangers. I couldn’t really see the girls face enough to see whom she was so that left me a little puzzled.
Simultaneously Hyun has a ‘date’ with Sun Ho for dinner as they promised earlier. Hyun may slyly know deep down that Sun Ho is Min since he catches him looking at their childhood home and he looks a little teary. To me Sun Ho, despite wanting to bring down Hyun, genuinely seems to want to reconnect and be close to his brother. Like have you noticed every time he comes into contact with Hyun he either looks upset or desperate. If he was hoping to reconnect then sad times for him since Hyun has a hidden agenda as he also invites Joon Ho to the party. Strange, I wonder if Joon Ho knows anything about them since him and Sun Ho seem to exchange displeasing looks all the time. Hyun on the other hand is smiling. What are you up to boi?
