So Sun Ho decided to change the game by acting as Superman when he dives in to save Ji An from the attacker. Like dude seriously, what is your game plan? Because sometimes it feels like you actually like Ji An, but then part of me feels like there’s some sort of revenge motive. That explains why he left some of her groceries in his car. At the same time though he must have decided earlier on that he was going to help her because otherwise would he not have just given the shopping in order to flee from the scene? What a player- as they say don’t hate the player hate the game. Let’s be honest I don’t think I hate this player; in fact this players growing on me. His fighting skills on the other hand… ermm I’m not sure if they were purposely crap but it was funny to see his mediocre skills. His fighting skills may deliberately be weak in order to let the guy escape since the attacker is a pawn in his plan.
Lee Hyun after making the card connection to Ji An immediately runs to her house. Team Leader Kang also after receiving Hyun’s weird call ends up trying to track her down too. Gotta admit Team Leader Kang actually is smart enough to make the connection himself that something is wrong. Hyun obviously doesn’t believe Sun Ho’s ‘it was all a coincidence’ story. He brings up the conversation they had previously where Sun Ho tells them that he doesn’t believe in coincidences. Though it was a clever move, Sun Ho’s comeback was too good. Well played Sun Ho, well played. Like Hyun tried to twist his words Sun Ho does the same; and also fuels Hyun’s anger.
Hyun’s pissed off mood probably isn’t helped by his jealousy when Ji An looks for Sun Ho to thank him. It’s so blatant now that he actually does have feelings for her. I mean his face says it all. Who knew Seo In Guk could have competition? Because her place has also become a crime scene she has to find somewhere else to sleep till the investigation is done. It was obvious that Hyun was having an internal war over whether or not to offer her a place. When he finally decides to, he literally grits his teeth and has to force it out of himself. Ji An on the other hand is over the moon since it’s not like after all those years of stalking she doesn’t know the place inside out. #NowThatsWhatICallASasaengFan
The scene where Ji An overhears Hyun calling out for his brother in his dream was too sweet. I think Seo In Guk sleeping itself was cute but anyway… she holds his hand for support and he responds by grabbing hers tightly without letting go. Then he has to spoil it by complaining about how she ruined his morning by waking up to her face. How nice. Ji An looks like she just got slapped by a wet fish.
On the other hand Sun Ho is busy talking to some next overlord who to me must be the one overseeing all this nonsense. Though he apologises for straying from the plan he mentions that he will still kill Hyun- he’s just having some fun whilst also using Director Yang. Can’t wait to find out who the bitch on the other line is because all this code talk is annoying because I have the IQ of a carrot. Unsurprisingly Sun Ho’s plan works out well as he gets a call from Ji An asking to meet up to ask about whether Director Yang was the person behind her attack. The conversation takes a turn to his interest in her and Hyun.
I KNEW IT! I KNEWWW IT! It was so obvious from the beginning- even with my carrot IQ I could figure it out. Sun Ho is Hyun’s little brother. Sun Ho tells Ji An its his second time having a special interest in someone, his first being his brother. We find out that fateful night he actually ended up hiding in the car. But Joon Young hijacks it taking Min with him. This is where his resentment for Hyun roots from as throughout the car journey he calls out for his hyung who never comes to save him. At the end we see him mention that Hyun just left him with a murderer.
Ji An seeing his intense look assumes that his ‘first love’ must have been pretty special to him. He tells her that he see’s his first love a lot and she tells him that he should confront the person. Ji An you could take your own advice sometimes. Just tell Hyun already so we can get over his random jealousy spurts.
Hyun visits our suspicious forensics doctor to ask him how to conduct a murder without leaving a corpse behind. I assume he asks this because of Joon Young and how he never had corpses therefore it was hard to capture him. Joon Ho explains that usually in such cases the serial killer would have a unique way of disposing the body. His Art hyung interrupts them as he has found out some information on the painting from the very first episode interrupts them. He finds someone who drew a similar sketch to that painting working in a factory. I just found it funny how despite Hyun telling him to get to the point he still takes his time.
So Hyun ventures to the factory and takes up part time work in order to find the guy as he could possibly lead to his brother or Joon Young (I think). I swear all the employees look at him like wtf you doing here with your qualifications. I wouldn’t be complaining, I mean eye candy whilst you work- why not? Whilst moving boxes he notices a particular one which looks like it has blood. He tips it over on purpose to find a dead body. The body belongs to one of their female employees and after searching/questioning they finally catch a suspect. Earlier from his conversation with Joon Ho he concludes that the way the body was killed was too unprofessional to be intended to be a murder without a corpse. However he finds the unique mark of a serial murder without corpses on the box. It was basically a staple on the label so whoever saw it would know to throw it out into the ocean.
Ji An confronts Hyun on what info he may have found on Joon Young since he always goes to crime scenes when there is of some relevance to him. He replies to her however that even he doesn’t know what sort of information he found or is still finding. Neither do I Hyun- like this whole story makes sense but then again is soo long and confusing too. He asks her an interesting question- what will she do once she has caught Joon Young? Apparently he wasn’t the first one to ask that question and she also has no answer. It also highlights how their ‘partnership’ is still not fully formed as he still withholds information from her.
The Team get a murder confession from the employee but as usual Hyun knows something is fishy. As he always does he barges into the interview room locking it and simultaneously switching off all the surveillance. He shows the man the mark on the paintings and promises confidentiality. Turns out he’s just a middle man who only moved the boxes and because the female employee caught him he killed her. Seems he doesn’t know anything about who his boss is apart from he can recognise his voice because of the calls he gets. Whoever it is seems to be the dude that’s been trying to drop hints to Hyun since the man admits the last body was of the Prosecutor who got kidnapped whilst conversing with Hyun. The way the employee talked about the boxes was a little freaky, as if he enjoys it. He even kept souvenirs for every body in the form of a bracelet of beads.
When Sun Ho enters the station the employee passes by but stops because I think it’s the same voice he claimed to know. But why? I was just start liking Sun Ho? Wait why am I defending him? But Sun Ho? Onto Episode 9 I think!
