I was really hoping that Ji An would actually reveal her true self to Lee Hyun after he asked from the last episode. Instead we get a flashback to when she was stalker Ji An who eventually gets caught by the genius Lee Hyun. It’s so sweet that despite him telling her to get lost, she still keeps following him and claims him as her comrade. Switching back to the present, instead of revealing herself she tells him she’s a sasaeng fan. I know I was rolling with laughter. Especially when she tells him that after meeting him physically she lost her interest in him and now her new addiction is EXO. I see what you did there.
I’m really starting to dislike this Deputy Commissioner. Ji An gets transferred to the civil department, however Team Leader Kang tries to stick to his guns and tell him that he will not let her go. However he gets put back in his place, when the Deputy Commissioner threatens him with disbanding their special team. I was cheering him on to fight back until I realised the Deputy Commissioner was his dad. -_- Unfortunately Ji An now deals with mundane civil complaints and its so obvious how much she wants to go back to solving crimes and she does casually wander her way back to them. But I had an “aww” moment when despite telling her to get lost, as soon as she needs them they back her up. #FrienshipGoals
This lawyer guy disturbs me. Not that he see’s anything weird but just it annoys me not knowing who he is.
So the forensics dude who works closely with the team, turns out he may be an important character so I had to remember his name. We find out that Lee Joon Ho is Lee Hyun’s neighbour when he clumsily attempts to water his plants but ends up spraying Lee Hyun instead. Hey I’m not complaining… A weird moment does appear however when as Hyun is changing into a fresh shirt (you bet I was fangirling over him being shirtless), Joon Ho comes at him with a scalpel. It turns out it was to take of the label, but the way the camera portrayed the moment, it felt like it was foreshadowing something. On the other hand, I found it strange how easily these two hit it off when Hyun gets invited for some tea. It may be because of how similarly they both are lonely in life because Joon Ho tells us that he’s a married man but his family lives abroad whilst he works so he pretty much just has himself. Who knows maybe that’s why Ji An is always around him?
Yang Seung Hoon makes a reappearance. After finishing his conversation with Ji An the lawyer pays a visit to him. He tells him to tell the team that he will get his revenge but the lawyer dismisses him. I really hate however that this guy always talks in some sort of code that I don’t understand.
So the next mystery props up with regards to an all black masked character. We first see him with a trail of blood following from a dead body crushed under some rubble. What’s interesting is how when he walks away he mutters to himself to excuse his actions and forgive himself. Strange? Yeah. The next time we see him is with Lee Hyun. Remember the cop who was blown away by little Lee Hyun? He decides to call Hyun to tell him about some findings he has found on the missing Joon Young. However before Hyun gets to his house the masked man kills the officer. Hyun ends up in a scuffle with the masked stranger once he realises that something fishy has happened. But the man escapes and again mutters the same thoughts again. Hyun on the other hand exits the scene, most probably because he’s wary of the police considering him a suspect and locking him up. Lee Hyun, dude, you slipped up because the special investigative team have now found a black box video from a nearby car that shows you leaving the scene. Tut tut… I expected more from you.
Because they can’t actually seem to find him, who else to call but Ji An? She also has no idea and ends up going on her own hunt until she goes home to find him chilling on her console. I mean I wouldn’t mind turning up to Seo In Guk but it is a little bit creepy. She tries to screw him for barging in until he comes back at her asking her where she came from- since she took his spare key and entered his own house too.
Ji An seems to be taking more and more risks these days for Hyun. Once lying to the officer on guard she and Hyun enter the crime scene. When telling her about details of the incident, he points out that the anomaly was that on the officer’s body there were no defensive wounds (meaning it didn’t look like he tried blocking his attacks). However Team Leader Kang and Myeong Woo who have also come to investigate, interrupt their conversation, so Hyun grabs her into the closet to hide.
I was glad they didn’t believe it was Hyun who committed the crime; Myeong Woo just wants to cuff him and get revenge for calling him stupid. Their conversation was just hilarious as they parred out both Hyun and Ji An- I just couldn’t handle it. But Ji An ends up getting the hiccups sparking both their attention, however with nowhere to hide I wonder how they’re gonna explain themselves.
I never knew I would have one but it’s from the scenes between an old man and our lawyer friend. He tells a story in the meeting about a crime which he thinks was done intentionally by the other’s friend. I feel like the relevance in this story was maybe an insight into the lawyers story? I’m not entirely sure but they both need to just stop with this stupid code talking. And then he asks the lawyer separately a favour to be his body. WTF?
