Following from last week, now that Soon Ae is Bong Sun again, all the chaos, sexual innuendos and hilarious moments floods the episode. So we’re back to the ever-growing scenes of Soon Ae trying to persuade Sun Woo into having sex with him. But it seems I could say the same for Sun Woo, except not for sex, but maybe affection? After the cooking show he gets worried as to where Bong Sun ran off to and after much restless whining he decides to call her.
Surprisingly, Sun Woo decides to become her private cooking tutor. But wait doesn’t that include more openings for Soon Ae’s sexual conquests? To be honest I was too engrossed in the sexual suggestions that everything else was just a blur. When she has that dream about her and Sun Woo doing it on the kitchen… ehem
At one point Bong Sun even tries to break into his room again.
You know what I think the whole episode is just full of them.
It’s funny how from the last episode Sun Woo has been much more protective over Bong Sun all of a sudden. He even tells off So Hyung for being insensitive for wanting to change Bong Sun as an assistant after her meltdown on the show. Even So Hyung notices the difference in his attitude.
With regards to the father, it turns out he has the initial symptoms of liver disease due to his drinking. It was touching to see how Soon Ae’s father tells Bong Sun that when she was calling out father it felt like it was his daughter. He basically adopts her as a daughter. But Kyung Mo needs to contain his feels; if only he knew who she was.
Officer Choi, the mysterious man, surprises me again. He tries to figure out who called for the ambulance and gets angry when they tell him it was some random girl claiming to be their daughter. He gets angry to the point he smashes the drink bottle Soon Ae’s father gives him. Dude chill? He even tries finding out more on Sun Woo and Bong Sun’s relationship from Eun Hee and that already made me feel uneasy as I feel like he’s trying to make moves to her.
Oh my giddy giddy gosh, he killed Soon Ae? Ok backtrack, Kyung Mo screws his father for still keeping Soon Ae’s stuff in tact and not showing as much love to him. His father calls Soon Ae’s phone again because it turns out he hasn’t cancelled her phone plan. Switching to Eun Hee struggling to close a drawer, she finds a smashed phone lodged in the back. Did he do the same to Eun Hee? BISH WHAT?
After cheering up Sun Woo after his dinner with friends, Bong Sun gets back to her original plan of wriggling her way into him (ok I realise that sounded wrong). Although he refuses, he offers to take her on a ‘date’ to Hongdae. The way she gets ready for her date. I mean she uses tape to wax, air freshener to smell good; I just could not contain myself. Unfortunately for her she takes so long to get ready that she ends up running late. At the same time ahjumma finally connects the dots as to where Soon Ae has been hiding and finds her. So she gets forced out of Bong Sun to run away from her so we end the episode with a confused Bong Sun looking at a very handsome Sun Woo.
Favourite Moment & Favourite Quote & Hated Moment
My main part of this review was short because I really wanted to place these parts of the episode in this section. This is because the theme and message it was portraying; learning to forgive, forget and move on. It was probably the highlight of this episode. Yes even better than Soon Ae’s seduction skills.
So after the seafood market Sun Woo catches a friend and instantly you can tell that he doesn’t really want to talk to him until his bully from school is mentioned. In an attempt to gloat he invites them and his bully for a meal at his restaurant. The reason why I hated it was because it was so cringe. First of all poor Min Soo gets his special dish cancelled again. But it’s the way Sun Woo gets worked up over everything being perfect and flawless. Not everyone can be flawless like Beyonce B. I almost wanted to slap Sun Woo around the face for treating everyone like they were below him. He made everything that extra bit awkward when his bully walks in and shows him up.
Dong Chul (the bully) leaves early and Sun Woo runs after him to give him cab money. Karma hits back when Dong Chul explains his life to Sun Woo who begins to feel guilty for the awkwardness he created and his constant attacks on him.
Sun Woo realises his mistake of revelling in the past and sits around gloomily. Thankfully Bong Sun comes in with her bright aura to cheer him up with pancakes. But Bong Sun is the one who shows Sun Woo how thinking about the past and not letting go doesn’t let you live the life you have. Oh and of course how having sex with her is the best option in the world.
Sun Woo does end up trying to offer his help to Dong Chul but Dong Chul refuses him stating he had no right to ask in the first place after his past treatment of Sun Woo. Just this whole part of the episode touched me a lot; I almost got watery eyes, mainly because of how broken Sun Woo’s voice goes.
Oh did I mention, Min Soo finally gets his shrek pasta on the board! Although Sun Woo did good by making Min Soo happy it seems Seo Joon catches onto them. He does confront Bong Sun but since she says nothing he just gives her warning. Jealous? Nah to be honest I think it’s more to do with protectiveness of a brother.
