So we carry on from last week’s knockdown and I’m surprised by how Sun Woo takes things lightly. Everyone else however are still in shock over Bong Sun’s sudden change of behaviour and Soon Ae noticing that she’s created too much drama to handle attempts to force herself out but soon realises she’s trapped. This is why you don’t make impulsive decisions Soon Ae, ghost or not. Automatically she faints and pretends to still be unconscious whilst staring at the other employee’s crotches. Yes you read that right and best believe I was creasing like a hyena.
Sun Woo only shows his humiliation to his sister, but given how their relationship is portrayed it seems as if Eun Hee is like his substitute mother. Sun Woo attempts to have a deep conversation with Bong Sun on her resignation, but the confused Bong Sun plainly agrees with him. He offers her a month to decide on her future at the kitchen and yet again she replies eagerly with an abundance of energy. Even Sun Woo thinks she’s lost it.
In this episode Soon Ae begins to familiarise herself with Bong Sun’s routine. She’s stuck with the dish station but her horny trait comes out as Seo Joon walks over and fanning the bottom of his shirt for air. Bong Sun being Soon Ae checks out his chocolate (if you know what I mean)
It seems the blogger from last time hasn’t let go of her anger as files a case against Sun Woo for assault. Simultaneously the employees begin to gossip and Bong Sun asks why he’s involved in a case. Everyone gives her the “are you for real” look and remind her of the story. Whilst Bong Sun is rediscovering the fascinations of the kitchen the other employees discuss her weird behaviour. Dong Cheol suggests she has a disease where she is on a murderous rage due to the mistreatment of her boss. This shakes them all a little and I guess it doesn’t help that when the renter the kitchen Bong Sun is playing with a knife.
This part was hilarious but as soon as I realised it was a long shower scene I should have seen this coming. Soon Ae’s confident side comes out as she casually asks them a question in the shower. Everyone scream at her to get lost and she takes her time as she checks out everyones assets. She giggles to herself over the harem of masculinity that she has discovered. What tipped me over the edge is when she drowns Min Soo’s pride down the drain. On a side note though, I really think Min Soo has a thing for butts…
Bong Sun begins to make her moves as she follows Seo Joon home.Turning the direction of the conversation she convinces him to drink it up with her. She definitely is a seductress but that’s all she achieves as he leaves to go home drunk and she’s left still not knowing what way is home.
Sun Woo refuses to settle and thrashes the woman’s blog with positive reviews of his restaurant. I just found it funny that he used ID’s like “I like strawberries” and “I like chocolate”. Creative much? Due to the incident business is slow however Bong Sun ends up with two really sh** customers. After their complaints on the dish Bong Sun, who probably would of punched them by now, being considerate of Sun Woo thickens the dish. Sadly for her Sun Woo doesn’t take it nicely.
A little more of Sun Woo and his mother’s relationship is revealed. Despite their not so happy past they seem to act like mother and toddler presently. He reminds her of her past downfalls and she tells him to get lost for being a badly disciplined child. Despite being older he still acts like a kid when he asks her for a discount to pay her back.
So Hyeong and Sun Woo when visiting her husbands grave (not really sure what they call them) seems to imply that all three of them were once close friends. Additionally it seems So Hyeong is regretful over her time with her husband lived as well but no more is said. She fails again to persuade Sun Woo participate in her show as a publicity boost but he accepts once Min Soo tells him that his rival has been mocking him for being ashamed to go on TV. It seems that Min Soo has an ulterior motive here given the way he reacts to Sun Woo’s announcement. As the criticisms increase Sun Woo becomes colder as he shuns Bong Sun telling her not to talk or come in front of him.
In a bar somewhere else however Sun Woo’s mother begins a heart to heart with the bartender on how all she can do is think about her son because she messed up as a mother. You also see her call ahjumma for astrological advice so this is clearly going to cause problems for Bong Sun. In her drunkenness she wanders over to the restaurant to pop bottles with her children unfortunately nobody is turnt up as her.
Random plot twist when Bong Sun comes across a crime scene where she first see’s Eun Hee’s officer husband. I was a little worried when she mentions that she may have seen him before. I seriously hope it’s not true because he’s such a sweet person!
Sun Woo’s mother (Hye Young) meets up with ahjumma who reiterates that Sun Woo has intense vitality and makes an appointment to read his face. She also scans Hye Young’s face and calls her a master cougar which Hye Young gets overly happy over. I don’t disagree that Hye Young is a master cougar because she’s pretty good looking! On their way to the restauraunt Na Bong Sun almost gets caught by ahjumma as she has the bells around her neck but manages to escape by singing her way out.
The cooking show is going to be a prominent platform for Bong Sun and Sun Woo to develop their relationship as she ends up having to be the assistant chef because Min Soo is locked out. Sun Woo tells Bong Sun not to meddle with anything so consequently he falls behind in time. Because of the pressure and lack of help Bong Sun tells Sun Woo that he has burnt the rice. He loses all faith until Bong Sun miracously makes a new dish. Automatically things switch to the restauraunt owner, who is close with Eun Hee’s husband, telling a customer that they don’t serve a particular dish anymore and his daughter is not home anymore. (If your thinking what I was thinking at the time then yes your right)
Peak times for Min Soo when So Hyeong tells them that he can’t be assistant chef anymore because of continuity reasons. Min Soo storms off pissed. Sun Woo on the other hand finally acknowledges her in a positive way after her dish rescue.
On the way home Bong Sun encounters the restaurant owner’s son drunk on the floor and helps him over to the police station. She comes into contact with Eun Hee’s husband again and begins to check him out whilst they wait for the boy’s father. The massive revelation pieces some of Soon Ae’s past as It is revealed that she was his daughter. See I told you, you were right! I know I didn’t see it coming at first either until the cooking show! I just thought the ahjusshi was a random guy in the drama.
Sun Woo makes acquaintances with a stray dog when it won’t stop following him.So Sun Woo actually knows how to make friends… with animals. I just thought it was cute to see a softer side of him in comparison to his domineering presence earlier on.
