So of course the Sara press conference scandal has put all three enemies in a bad position this episode. Min Hyuk in terms of ruining his image for the final shareholder meeting and Chae Yeon and Kang Joon because they have no idea what Sara’s plans are. I could NOT stop saying “awhh” throughout this episode! Sara of course has returned to Tae Hee’s house and just his behaviour was too cute! He basically was acting like he lost his pet every night only to find it every morning. In the beginning of the episode you see him wake up all of a sudden and run into Sara’s room to check she’s still there. Tae Hee you’re giving me the feels! Now that they have finally both reunited in forces, I love the original vibe they give off as they commence their plans to take down their enemies.
Their first step is getting Min Hyuk back for the complete turn over at the initial director’s meeting. I’m surprised Sara comes to him head on the next day however she tells him that she will fulfil her contractual duties as well as helping Tae Hee. Of course Min Hyuk won’t take this under normal circumstances but cleverly Tae Hee and Sara put up a bulletin on the company’s board informing the employees of the fact that Min Hyuk in fact lied about him being the one whom told Sara to help make the rice balls for Tae Hee. That’s got to hurt right? Especially since if he does go after either of them he would be a direct suspect because of that statement. Chae Yeon, unsurprisingly, as soon as she hears that Sara is in the building runs after her but gets shattered pretty quickly #BitchYouLost
So now that Min Hyuk is in a pretty dangerous position he tries to give Sara one last chance to stand with him in return for ensuring her safety and image. But she rejects his offer and tells him to get lost. He loses his marbles and switches into harassing her almost. I did not see Tae Hee’s punch coming at all, I swear I fell backwards on my bed- it was like I felt the impact haha. Min Hyuk’s face though was priceless! Tae Hee uses his punch to his advantage by telling Sara that his fist hurts from knocking Min Hyuk’s iron face and asks her to blow on it. Can I just say his face when she does so… no comment (if you think like me you know what I’m saying).
I hate Kang Joon. HOWEVER I gave props in this episode for having the upper hand over Chae Yeon for once. Kang Joon tells her to hand over the building to Geum Ran since that’s the only thing they can negotiate with Sara (sadly they were wrong). Cha Yeon in turn tells him she won’t as it is compensation for having to suffer the consequences of Kang Joon and Sara’s actions. Can someone please knock her blockhead into place? I’m pretty sure I’ve said this in a previous post before but it seems she still hasn’t realised the pretty obvious fact that she’s part to blame in her suffering to begin with. But why I was impressed with Kang Joon was because… well I will let the photos do the explaining.
The next move in their takedown plan is the interview that Sara sets up on Chae Yeon’s talk show, which Chae Yeon does not find out till last minute. Not sure why she’s annoyed since she wanted Sara on her show in the first place, but I guess she lost her leverage in the last episode. #PeaktTimesBruh Anyway the interview itself was probably the best part of the episode overall. It was funny to see how nervous Chae Yeon was throughout it all and she kept trying to divert the attention etc. She even offers to give her the building but I guess its too late now. Sara reveals the whole story (minus the Min Hyuk part) in the interview and Chae Yeon pretty much disappears and so does Kang Joon. FINALLY! I was also jumping with happiness when I saw Ji Hoon’s face after it is revealed. That look of disappointment and regret!
Min Hyuk, totally in his own world, tells the butler (yes I still don’t remember his name) to get rid of Tae Hee for good. He however is wary since if such happens Min Hyuk would be the first to blame but it seems that Min Hyuk’s plan is to place the blame on Kang Joon given the recent revelations. What I found surprising was that Min Hyuk’s mother says she will take responsibility.
The final step in the episode is catching the man who assaulted Tae Hee in the first place. It was refreshing to see a scene between Tae Hee and Sara where they have gone back to their old ways and relationship. They were complimenting each other far too much but I loved it because it reminded me of why I continued to watch this drama in the first place!
The more important point here was that they manage to track the man’s number plate and turn him in to the police. After getting a hold of his phone they try searching for Kang Joon or Min Hyuk’s number only to find out that their was in fact a middle man. So they trick him (the butler) into revealing his identity. The butler of course catches on, a little too late, and hangs up but of course he’s pretty much in deep shit now. The ending sort of caught me off guard when Kang Joon turns up outside their house and tells Tae Hee that he will ensure Sara’s marital freedom, since she is still legally married to him, if he is willing to negotiate. Thankfully Tae Hee sticks to his guns and ignored Kang Joon outright! I was happy that the episode ended positively instead of the negatively as the past episodes have been.
When Kang Joon’s family after finding out Sara is Geum Ran try to beg her forgiveness. They bed her consistently but I was so glad that she stuck to her guns. I was slyly thought she may waver because the mother and sisters were stating how their lives will pretty much be ruined if she reveals everything and they can live decently. But she didn’t and I was glad she didn’t!
I’m going to have to slightly adjust this category to ‘Favourite Quotes’. Only because the numerous amounts of wise and motivational quotes between Tae Hee and Sara made it a difficult task to pick a favourite. So I just gathered them all.
The first is the motivational speech Tae Hee gives Sara when she explains why she loves to eat blood sausage, rice cakes and kimbop (not sure if I got that right):
My next favourite quote again from Tae Hee is the scene where he gives her white roses after the interview as a form of respect and where she tells him her secret for overcoming her obstacles. Predictably her answer was him and his encouragement.
