So following from last week’s episode Kang Joon starts by questioning Sara whether Sa Geum Ran is actually alive arising from his prior suspicions. She fails to answer him as she faints from her peanut allergy and he takes her to a hotel- surprisingly not calling a doctor right away. Of course Tae Hee is left hanging with a marriage proposal. Chae Yeon decides to use this opportunity to play her chessboard game by telling Ji Hoon that Sara is sleeping with Kang Joon, thus forcing him to go and witness the ‘affair’. Tae Hee thankfully manages to track her down at the same time as Ji Hoon gets there but unfortunately Ji Hoon, since he only knows half the story is left judging Tae Hee for choosing Sara as ‘the one’ who is responsible for adultery. Have to admit I was happy to see Kang Joon get smashed in the face.
One thing I noticed not only in this episode but previous ones too is that no ones knows anyone- apart from Chae . After this fiasco Chae Yeon tells Ji Hoon that he needs to stop Tae Hee from falling for Sara especially at the present time. He asks her why, to which she replies with the justification that as Winner Group’s successor he shouldn’t be dating a girl like her. How does Ji Hoon not know? Given how it seems to be portrayed as a massive public news… After they get back home Tae Hee and Sara have probably the worst fight they’ve ever had. Typically all because of a misunderstanding. The reason why I think it’s their worst to date is because he tells her how he can never seem to above Kang Joon and that she’s always after him, basically comparing himself to Kang Joon. I don’t understand why he compares himself, I mean come on why would you not fall for Tae Hee? But he ends it with:
I absolutely love his restaurant minion, Team Leader Choi, who tries to make Tae Hee realise the reality of his situation. Although clearly Tae Hee doesn’t actually mean what he says and later regrets it because you see him searching for breakfast and Sara the next morning. Of course Tae Hee you’ve completely missed the point that she’s suffering from her peanut allergy. Moreover his meeting with Team Leader Choi in his new but dusty CEO office, his mind keeps drifting off to Sara instead. I love Team Leader Choi’s reaction to Tae Hee declaring that he is going to the dressing room to get some air. Here is when Tae Hee realises that Sara was actually frail and couldn’t do anything against Kang Joon because she ate her peanut dish #StatingTheObvious. Tae Hee gets Ji Hoon to check her and Ji Hoon sweetly tells him that Sara isn’t the one, I say sweetly because of course he doesn’t know the full story but you can see that he is genuinely worried for him.
This bitch Chae Yeon, ergh! I’m sick of her face everywhere nosing around to find out what everyone’s next step is so she can plan ahead. She needs to get a life instead of circling the same bullshit all the time. After finding that Kang Joon is taking steps towards figuring out if Sa Geum Ran is alive she pesters him for what he will do if she is. Kang Joon blatantly states he’s going to kill her again, although when he finds out the truth that it is actually the girl he loves I’m not so sure. But Chae Yeon takes this as an advantage for her to successfully carry out her plan of making her the innocent one. She also gets entrusted with a cellphone to pass on to the grandmother by Tae Hee, but I never actually see her give it, instead she tells her about Sara being an undisciplined woman who Tae Hee mistakenly has fallen for.
In this episode finally someone other than Chae Yeon knows about Sara’s secret. Her mother meets up with Tae Hee to find out if Geum Ran is actually alive and her confesses that she is and actually takes her to the cooking competition set to see Sara. Seeing her mother Sara decides to make a dish to represent her warmth for Tae Hee and her mother so she ends up tying on the show. I feel like I should have had some sort of feels during this part but for some odd reason I didn’t. I was wondering why a Min Hyuk and Sara moment hadn’t come yet but after this you see his mother propose to Sara with a position of being her cooking instructor, obviously pulling her strings of influence here. Min Hyuk’s face looks like an excited kid as soon as he hears this because of course his dream girl will now be in his house. Although this proposal slightly worries me given what Chae Yeon has said to the grandmother I feel like shits gonna go down.
Tae Hee takes inspiration from Sara’s recitals as the launch product for Winner Food. She obviously gets a call about this and an invitation to the CEO’s event. Tae Hee even once telling her he is the CEO still gets offended when she doesn’t believe him.
But OMG I didn’t expect him to propose at the event! Ok I went into that way too fast but I was just giddy with excitement when he dances with her, because when she breaks her leg she mentions she wants to dance as soon as she’s better, and whispers for only her to hear! Classy man Tae Hee! FINALLY Min Hyuk see’s this interaction as he gets invited too and has an absolutely baffled face along with Kang Joon’s pissed off face. But I didn’t care because I was too focused on Sara’s weird ridiculous shocked expression throughout their dancing. Come on girl show some other emotion!
Well of the whole episode it has to be this obviously!
When Tae Hee out of guilt creates a temporary contract to which she is now the supersized primary and he is the lowly secondary. This was may favourite scene purely because of the constant flashbacks to previous episodes, except now the roles are switched!
I liked that they ended this scene in a sweet way with Tae Hee with Sara on his back helping her practice cooking for the competition. Also the sly kiss that Tae Hee manages to get from Sara- #TaeHeeKissLevel100
