This episode wasn’t the usual comedy but more of a serious and sinister one. So after last night’s comment- no I’m still not going to reveal it- Tae Hee ends up sleeping on Sara’s bed. He acts all smug about the fact that she had no nightmares that night because he was holding her hand throughout the night. Not surprisingly Tae Hee uses this as a justification to sleep in the same bed. Of course Sara is not having it, but nice try Tae Hee.
As I predicted in the last episode Chae Yeon and Kang Joon have teamed up, except with a twist. She’s clever by withholding her secret info about Sa Geum Ran, and tries to turn Kang Joon’s attention to Tae Hee. It seems her plan is for him to go after Tae Hee and then at the right time she will intervene to get Tae Hee back. She slyly pushes him to find the link between Tae Hee and Sa Geum Ran’s death. At a later point I picked up on Chae Yeon’s declaration: “we’re soul mates because we’re realistic”. Yes you guys are soul mates, not because you’re realistic but because you’re evil bitches.
Although Sa Geum Ran and Sara’s consultations are pretty inspirational, in stark contrast, Ji Hoon and Tae Hee’s conversation are way better. Tae Hee blames Ji Hoon for bringing up marriage and it now causing a distance between them. Since before this when Tae Hee mentions the possibility of marriage Sara gets a little distant out of fear of failing again. Did anyone catch TOP on the box as well? I have been waiting for BigBang’s comeback for a while.
I was taken aback a little when I Sara comes out from the cooking classes with Min Hyuk’s mother. Min Hyuk seems to be going to all lengths but doesn’t seem to actually confess anything yet. I’m still confused by how Sara still hasn’t found out who he is, nor has Tae Hee found out about Min Hyuk’s liking to Sara yet. Sweet Buddha, yes I was surprised about Min Hyuk’s mother and Sara meeting, but I was absolutely shocked to hear Kang Joon’s confession. So Kang Joon’s calls Tae Hee to get some answers but instead Sara picks up and meets up with him. He gets a little violent when she pronounces Tae Hee has nothing to do with Sa Geum Ran. When he’s got her up against the wall he declares that she’s the only person he’s actually loved (ironic?) and he’s not going to let her get away so easily. Possessive much?
This Chae Yeon bitch goes above and beyond. She tries getting close to Tae Hee’s grandmother. Her plan here is to become a double agent by being both a messenger for both Min Hyuk’s mother and Tae Hee. She also drops to him the secret meeting between Sara and Kang Joon- I know you just want to conk her on the head right? As a result of this him and Sara get into an argument although personally Tae Hee is probably made primarily because he is worried about her. They basically end up accusing each other of still being attached to their pasts. But ohhh I thought it was a BIG slip up when he tells her it’s because she still has feelings for Kang Joon and only can imagine marriage with him. Really bad call there, but thankfully they reconcile!
I was slightly peeved off by the fact that the father in law although he originally goes to apologise to Sara’s mother about the land, he later accuses her of being responsible for putting Kang Joon in jail. Seriously? Come on now! However he starts to realise that something is off when he sees her reaction to Kang Joon being put in jail for murder charges.
Min Hyuk and Tae Hee go head to head when Tae Hee shows him the injunction to allow him to see his grandmother. Instead Min Hyuk rips this up and Tae Hee vows to get revenge, revenge that he does serve. Tae Hee broadcasts his intentions to basically run against Min Hyuk and become a candidate for the CEO position of Winner Group. This pretty much screws up Min Hyuk’s great week I suppose…
Unfortunately the ending was climatic, given that you see that Tae Hee has set up an amazing entrance for a proposal. Yes you read that right. So why so climatic? Because it looks like Sara won’t make it…
“My weakness is that I’m Sa Geum Ran, but my strength is that I’m Sa Geum Ran”- Sara
This quote has too many good vibes. Yes you do you boo! People forget to please themselves rather than others in life. This comes where Chae Yeon tries to hinder Sara’s competition by adding peanuts as an ingredient, which she is allergic to. But of course Sara has an ahjumma’s endurance plus Tae Hee on her side! She goes for it and even tastes it in front of Chae Yeon and her face is like a kangaroo kicked it, it was a very fulfilling expression I must say. That showed Chae Yeon! It seems however that Kang Joon is getting slightly suspicious about why Chae Yeon keeps nagging him about Sa Geum Ran.
Favourite/Funniest moment? When Sara and Tae Hee are grocery shopping and Ji Hoon see’s them and makes them realise how much of a married couple they act like. Ji Hoon’s wide smile when he sees them both is too cute. Of course I can’t forget the after math of the married couple statement. I initially thought Tae Hee was insinuating something sexual when he told her they should do something they’ve never done before… boii was I wrong. And why was porn music going on at this point? #cheeky
